JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:    Speech-Language Pathologist (K-12)                               FLSA Status: Exempt 

Reports to: Principal                                                                       Terms of Employment: 10 Months

 

Position Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will identify, assess, and treat communication disorders for students across the K-12 spectrum. This role involves developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with classroom teachers, and providing direct therapy to improve students' ability to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Training and Experience:

Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAA-accredited program.

NC State License: A current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA).

Testing: Passing score on the Praxis Exam in Speech-Language Pathology (Test 5331) with a score of 162 or higher

ASHA Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
